Technical Help

If you are experiencing problems with the Dianostic Center, North's (DCN) website, check the following list before contacting the DCN Webmaster:

Browser Version

For optimum performance, the web pages hosted by the DCN website require a current web browser. It is the intent of the DCN that all of its web pages will work well with the current stable release and one previous release of Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge (based on Chromium).

Web browsers that are fully compatible with these browsers and older versions of these browsers may also be suitable, but the DCN does not design, maintain, or test for browsers that are not listed above.

If you are not sure of the version of your browser, select Help in the menu bar of your browser and choose About.

Web Traffic

The DCN website may be experiencing a lot of traffic. Our recommendation: Just be patient and allow complete pages to download before you try clicking any of the links.

Your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

Your ISP may be experiencing a problem.Try to see if you encounter the same problem with another site (see Web Traffic above).

Your Modem

Your modem may be too slow to download our web pages, causing the page to timeout before it is completely loaded. You might want to think about upgrading it, since it is also probably causing you problems accessing the web in general.

Memory

Though our web pages aren't overly large, some do include graphical elements. It is possible your computer does not have enough memory, and you might want to consider additional memory.

If you still need assistance, contact the DCN Webmaster at agent-vincent@dcn-cde.ca.gov.
